Shot blasting machine is firstly applied to remove the surface sand and oxide scale of cast steel and iron castings in the casting foundry industry. Almost all steel castings, gray castings, malleable iron castings, ductile iron castings, etc. need to shot blasting machine. This is not only to remove oxide scale and sand on the casting surface, but also an indispensable preparation process before casting quality inspection. For example, a case of large gas turbine must be strictly shot-peened before nondestructive inspection to ensure the reliability of inspection results.
In general casting production, shot peening is an essential technological means to find casting surface defects such as subcutaneous air holes, slag holes, sand sticking, cold insulation, peeling, etc.
The surface cleaning of non-ferrous metal castings, such as aluminum alloy and copper alloy, is not only to remove oxide scale and find surface defects of castings, but also to remove burrs of die castings by shot peening and obtain surface quality with decoration significance and comprehensive effect.
In metallurgical iron and steel production, shot blasting or pickling is a combined mechanical or chemical process to remove phosphorus skin to ensure high productivity in mass production of iron and steel. In the production of silicon steel sheets, stainless steel sheets and other alloy steel plates and strips, annealing must be carried out in the cold rolling process before shot blasting or pickling treatment to ensure the surface roughness and thickness accuracy of the cold rolled steel plates.
Shot blasting machine can also be used to remove burrs, diaphragms and rust, which may affect the integrity, appearance or definition of object parts.
Shot blasting machine can also remove surface pollutants from the surface of a partial coating and provide a surface profile that increases the adhesion of the coating to achieve the purpose of strengthening the workpiece.
Shot blasting machine is different from shot blasting machine in that it is used to reduce fatigue life of parts, increase different surface stresses, increase strength of parts, or prevent fretting.
